Government I.T.I Puri is one of the premier I.T.I of the state situated in the land of Mahaprabhu Shri Jagannath i.e. Puri, Odisha. This institute was inaugurated by then Honourable Minister of State (Industries) Shri Bibhudendra Mishra on 19th December 1966. Initially I.T.I Puri was started with 5 trades such as :

• Electrician,
• Fitter,
• Turner,
• Draughtsman Civil,
• Radio & Television
having more than 100 students.

Subsequently the number of technical trades in Government I.T.I Puri was expanded to 9 trades affiliated to N.C.V.T namely :

• Fitter,
• Electrician,
• Electronics Mechanics,
• Turner,
• Machinist,
• Motor Mechanic Vehicle,
• Wireman,
• Welder
• Plastic Processing Operator
with a total 30 functional units currently operating at the institute.

Govt. I.T.I Puri ranked among top 10 I.T.I of the state since its inception from 1966 envisions to provide multi skill work force in order to cope with modern industrial scenario and technological advancements satisfying global benchmarks.
