Government Industrial Training Institute, Puri established in the year 1966 has contributed immensely to the society by creating technically competent and industrially trained professionals/ skilled work force at par with global standards through the adaptation of sustainable and professional engineering methodological practices. Having completed more than 55 years of service in the field of education and training in the broad context of technological advent for the great state of Odisha, Govt. I.T.I Puri aims to be a world leader in creating industrially proficient human resource in the form of cutting edge-multi skilled work force through the able guidance of our Principal and time to time guidance of our Director, Technical Education and Training, Odisha.
The institute has state of the art labs and workshops with high end technological equipments such as C.N.C Turning-Milling-Profiling machines and many more, thereby reducing the gap between industry and academia. Furthermore, Govt I.T.I Puri has industrially collaborated by signing M.O.U with O.P.T.C.L, Tata-Strive and many more for bridging the gap between industry and academia by imparting technical skills to our trainees through industry. This institute also focuses on enhancement of communication and technological literacy of trainees by utilizing the modern infrastructure facilities present such as modernized communication lab, Smart Classrooms with interactive smart teaching panels embedded with leased line internet connectivity, e-library, soft skills training through Tata Strive-Bagchi soft skill development program et cetera , thus producing industry ready human resource. Special attention is given to extra-curricular activities by conducting exercises/programs such as games/sports events- I.T.I fest, debate cum student seminars, cultural programs, community service activities, swattcha Bharat Abhiyans, Entrepreneur Development programs, Martial arts training activities, fire-fighting exercises etc.

The most remarkable feature of this institution is its vibrant placement cell with record placement of nearly 100% as past year’s achievements.
In recent times, Govt. I.T.I Puri bagged 61st position in India’s top 100 I.T.Is as released by Union Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (M.S.D.E) symbolizing Odisha’s robust skill eco-system.
